Chiropractic face paper rolls: a core size and packing case study

    {当前产品的产品关键词轮巡使用}
In September 2026, FUMO shipped two configurations of chiropractic face paper rolls in 20-foot general-purpose containers (20GP). The larger-core configuration loaded 25,000 rolls. The smaller-core configuration loaded 30,000. Both used 8.5 in × 225 ft, 25 gsm smooth paper, with 25 rolls per case.
The smaller-core shipment carried 5,000 additional rolls without reducing the specified paper width, length or grammage. For an importer, that creates an opportunity to spread a container's transport cost across more stock. Whether a similar change works for your order also depends on the paper holder and the packing requirements you need to keep.
Two samples with the same specified paper width, length and grammage. The smaller core is on the left.

The paper specifications stayed the same

These chiropractic face paper rolls, also called chiropractic headrest paper rolls, had the same specified paper dimensions and grade. The visible differences were the core opening and the diameter of the finished roll.

Core and finished roll diameters are approximate values from the sample photo labels, not manufacturing tolerances. Paper and packing specifications come from FUMO's case information.
The 25 gsm figure describes the paper's weight per square metre, not the weight of a complete roll. Each roll was specified at 225 ft, or 68.58 m, so the smaller roll in this comparison did not have a shorter specified length.
When comparing suppliers, put those details alongside the price. A photograph cannot confirm paper length or grammage. Include both in your purchase specification and check them during sample approval. The holder still needs a physical sample check, even when the paper specification stays the same.
The sample labels give approximate core inside diameters of 2.5 cm on the left and 3.8 cm on the right. Core colour is not evidence of hygiene performance.

    Actual 20GP loading: 25,000 vs. 30,000 rolls

Both September 2026 shipments used 20GP containers without pallets, packed to the same loading constraints. Each case contained 25 rolls in one shared inner bag. The rolls were not individually bagged in these shipment configurations.

    30,000
The smaller-core packing configuration carried 200 more cases, equivalent to 5,000 additional rolls. That is a 20% increase in the number of rolls loaded in this comparison.
These are results for the complete packing configurations. Core size alone does not determine how many cases fit. Carton dimensions and loading requirements also matter. A buyer who needs pallets, individual wrapping or a fixed retail carton will need a separate loading estimate for that arrangement.

What this means for freight cost per roll

For an importer buying chiropractic face paper rolls by the container, the useful comparison is the transport cost allocated to each roll. If the same total transport charge covers more rolls, that allocation falls.
The example below uses an assumed US$3,000 transport charge for each container. It illustrates the calculation; it is not an actual freight quotation or a record of savings achieved on these shipments.
    Illustrative calculation
    25,000-roll shipment
    30,000-roll shipment
    Assumed transport charge
    US$3,000
    US$3,000
    Allocated cost per case
    US$3.00
    US$2.50
    Allocated cost per roll
    US$0.12
    US$0.10
Under that assumption, the freight allocation falls by US$0.02 per roll, or approximately 16.7%. A 20% increase in loading quantity therefore does not translate into a 20% reduction in cost per roll.
To apply the calculation to your quote:
Freight cost per roll = transport charges being compared ÷ total rolls loaded
Use the same set of charges on both sides. Comparing ocean freight for one option with a quote that includes destination delivery for the other will give a misleading result. This calculation covers the transport charges you select, not the full landed cost of the product.
Check the product and packing prices alongside the freight allocation. A saving on transport may be partly offset by a different unit price. Loading another 5,000 rolls also means buying and holding more stock, so compare the full shipment with your expected sales and available storage.

Check the paper holder before changing the core

A smaller core is worth considering when the holder accepts it and the packing can change with it. Keep the larger core if your customers' equipment requires that opening. If a sample catches on the spindle or feeds poorly, resolve that problem before changing the order specification.
Before approving a change to chiropractic face paper rolls, check the following with a physical sample:
    • Measure the holder's spindle and check clearance inside the core. Confirm that the holder accepts the roll width and finished diameter.
    • Install the sample on the intended equipment. Check that it rotates, feeds and tears as required, rather than judging fit from the dimensions alone.
    • Check paper width, length and grade against the agreed specification, then review the roll and packaging condition.
    • Confirm whether your sales channel allows a different carton size or shared inner bag. If it requires individual wrapping or fixed case dimensions, compare that packing arrangement separately.
If you buy less than a full container or need pallet delivery, ask for an estimate based on that shipment. Use the quantities and freight quote for your own order when deciding whether to switch.

Comparing core and packing options with FUMO

FUMO is a manufacturer based in Wuhan, China, with more than 27 years of OEM and ODM experience. For chiropractic face paper rolls, we can provide samples of both core options so you can compare fit and handling on the equipment your customers use.
We can also propose carton dimensions and estimated container quantities for your specifications, then prepare a quotation comparison. You can compare the price difference with the proposed loading quantity and decide which option to trial.
Send the specifications and packing details you already have. If they are incomplete, a photo of the current product label gives us a starting point. Any proposed loading quantity will depend on the roll dimensions, case packing and shipping requirements confirmed for your order.

    Frequently asked questions(FAQ)

Q1:Do smaller-core rolls contain less paper?

A1:The two options in this case both specified 8.5 in × 225 ft, 25 gsm smooth paper. A smaller outside diameter does not, by itself, tell you the paper length. Confirm the length in the specification and check it during sample approval.

    Q2:Will every order fit 1,200 cases in a 20GP?

A2:No. That was the result for this smaller-core configuration, packed 25 rolls per case without pallets. Other roll sizes, packing arrangements or loading requirements need their own calculation.

Q3:Does 20% more loading mean 20% lower freight cost per roll?

A3:With the same total transport charge, increasing the load from 25,000 to 30,000 rolls lowers the allocation per roll by approximately 16.7%. Your actual comparison should use the applicable freight quotations.

Q4:Is this smooth chiropractic face paper available perforated?

A4:FUMO does not offer perforation for the smooth paper used in this case. If your customers require perforation, ask about a crepe paper option as a separate specification.

Q5:Request samples and a packing comparison

A5:Planning your next order of chiropractic face paper rolls? Send FUMO your current roll specifications or a photo of the product label. Include your rolls per case, carton dimensions, order quantity and destination if available.
We can provide samples of both core options, propose a packing arrangement for your specifications and prepare a quotation comparison.
